Kallie's Baptism Day

I really can't believe my girl is old enough to get baptized! The level of excitement and anticipation for this day has been huge.  Kallie has counted down the days and planned out the whole thing herself.  The perfect dress was picked out months ago and pictures were scheduled six months in advance.  (We will insert now that due to some awesomely bad weather, those pictures still haven't been taken!) This little problem put a bit of a damper in Kallie's plan as she wanted to print out a few invites for close family members.

The day couldn't have been more perfect including the weather.  Kallie was beyond beautiful and her preisthood holder was dashing himself.  I was pretty proud to call these two mine that day!

We had a luncheon planned after the baptism, and it just happened to be a really busy day for everyone else so our numbers were few for lunch.  Kallie wanted pictures with some of her cousins that would be leaving.  Bailee and Kallie have been pals from day one, and Bailee although only two years older but two feet taller takes mighty good care of my girl!

These three goofballs would hardly let me get a picture of them, they are always being so dang silly! Haylie, the blonde one, comes from two short parents but apparently stole all the heighth in the family! Wowzers!

The three "big" girls are Kallie's idols! They had better always be good examples or they will have to answer to me! Kallie thinks they walk on water and adores all three of them!

A sad attmept at capturing a little family snapshot! Cole refuses to do up his top button, and Hagen has some sort of nose issue going on, he wouldn't put his hands down. This was the best out of about twelve shots!

Kallie was also disappointed that Libbie couldn't come to lunch, but she was more jealous that Libbie was going to a Taylor Swift concert without her.  Libbie only rubbed it in a little;)

I definately feel pretty lucky to have this girl for my own.  She is smart and witty, helpful beyond description and has a soft heart and sweet spirit.

Lunch turned out great, it was a simple meal and we relaxed in the sunshine enjoying the faces of a bunch of cute babies! This much anticipated day was no disappointment that is for sure!

Last Day of School!!

School is out for Summer! They look pretty happy don't they?

And this was Hagen's last day of school attire! We were so happy we didn't have to go anywhere that he wore his pajamas all day long!

Field Day

Field Day at Parker-Egin is always an interesting day.  There are wild crazy kids everywhere, lots of moms helping toting babies, and many frazzled teachers.  This year Field Day was "Track Meet" style.  I was in charge of the 400 meter run and therefore didn't get to see my kids do any other events but I loved the one I was at.  Kallie's class was first and there were some good little runners in her class.  She wasn't overly excited about the race, but finished in the middle of the pack.  Then it rained, well really it poured!

We all ran inside to take cover for awhile until it cleared up, that didn't take long. I used the opportunity to snap a few pix of the kids with their friends, they were all soaked!

Soon the rain quit and we drug our soggy selves back out to finish our events.  Cole's class was up on the 400 meter run, and I have to admit I was nervous for him.  With him being the youngest in his class, by a long way, I am always worried that he is going to be behind the other kids.  So far he has done great academically but I haven't really seen how he does physically.  I was thrilled and a little surprised to see him come in second in the race and pretty close behind first!

He ran hard and was out of breath when he crossed the finish line.
The picture below is Cole and Bryce, waiting for the other kids to finish the race.

After a couple more events it decided to rain some more, so back in we went.  We gathered us up some Dilly Bars and went out to eat our ice cream in the cold.  The kids didn't mind though!

I am very grateful for the teachers and parents at our little school who work so hard to make things fun for these kids!

Performers

The school year has now come to a close, thank heavens, and we are into the madness of summer but I have to post about the kids' programs.
Kallie's was first and the place was packed with me in the very back row.  The distant stage was no match for my wimpy point and shoot camera.  Sadly this is the only picture I got of Kallie.  In my other defense I had the stomach flu that day. Yuck!! She did a great job though and has practiced her part and sang her songs for months.  She couldn't have been happier than to be performing on that stage.  (The fact that she likes an audience still amazes me considering her first few years of life!)

Cole's program and Kindergarten graduation were the next day and since I was feeling much better, I captured the day a little better.  Cole wasn't overly concerned with practicing and refused to tell us his part. I honestly didn't think he knew it until the program.  He surprised me! His class was way cute and I love seeing him interact with his friends.

He was one proud boy to be graduating from Kindergarten.  I am so happy for him and grateful each day that I sent him to school last year.

Hagen pretended to be a puppy on the floor through the entire program... whatever keeps him happy!

How To Grow Good Potatoes

I just found these pictures from two years ago. I smiled as I remembered the very day they were taken and the beauty that we were surrounded by.  I was a little nauseous at how much Cole has grown and a tiny bit sad that he doesn't want to wear his cowboy attire as much anymore.

But then I came across this picture and couldn't help but laugh out loud.  This, my friends is how famous Idaho potatoes are grown.  A little natual fertilizer and weed killer personally applied!!
