Cole Man

It has been awhile since I have updated on the nonsense in our home that is Cole. This kid is something else! He makes me laugh every day and keeps things very lively. Cole has really surprised me with the baby, he LOVES him. He is getting better about being more gentle and asks if he can hold him about 30 times a day. Cole has a major case of spring fever, he wants to wear basketball shorts every day. Cole has developed a love for 30 min. television shows and that is all he wants to do while Kallie is at school. He enjoys playing the computer also and I am shocked at how much he knows. Cole has two more years until he goes to school and I worry that he will be a menace to the kindergarten by the time he gets there. Kallie plays school with him all the time and she is a pretty strict teacher, making him learn to spell his name and many other things. Cole is in Sunbeams and I was his teacher until I had the baby, he is a little bit of a stinker. One Sunday during Sharing Time, the little girl sitting next to Cole was turned around in her chair and kind of leaning over the back. I looked over just in time to see Cole bend clear over and look up her dress, I hurried and snapped my finger at him and he just grinned. Then during Singing Time that same day he grabbed that little girls cheeks and gave her a big kiss. Too bad I wasn't the only one who saw this, there were a few snickers from some of the teachers behind us. Weston is definitely getting blamed for this behavior!
I have to explain a little about this picture. I have a little brother named Regg who is on a mission right now, Cole looks just like him and unfortunately acts a lot like him too. We are always telling Cole to quit acting like Regg, one day I was on the computer and Cole came in without his shirt on and puffed out his chest. He said, "Mom who do I look like?" I didn't really even look at him and responded with the boring, "I don't know, Who?" Cole said, "Regg, duh!" Regg never wore a shirt, he hates them, and Cole was right he did look just like Regg without his shirt on.

Dancing Queen

Kallie had her first clogging competition a couple weeks ago. She has been excited about this for a very long time. She has practiced really hard and put a lot of time into it. She takes her clogging lesson very seriously, and gets super annoyed at some of the girls in her class because they goof around. Kallie's team performed two dances and got 1st on both dances! Kallie and her cute friend Kassie were thrilled with the medals that they won. Kallie was mostly excited to have something new and cool to take to show and tell at school!

There is no other way to describe the last month than Magical! Our sweet baby is precious and has brought with him a magical spirit to our home. I am overwhelmed with gratitude when I look at my sweet family and realize how blessed we are. We have been flooded with meals, phone calls, gifts and congratulations from friends and family. As I sent my family off to church this morning, I felt a little depressed that I was not going to be able to go and be "refreshed and renewed" for another week. As I cuddled up on the couch with baby H in my arms and "The Sounds of Sunday" in the background, the spirit touched my heart and feelings of love and gratitude flooded my mind. I am so grateful to be a mother and to have healthy, happy kids. Hagen has been a wonderful baby and I think he knows that being number 3 brings the responsibility of having much patience. There have been a few evenings come around that I have felt guilty because he has spent the majority of the day on the couch or in the bouncy chair. However he patiently waits his turn and demands his fair share of time and cuddles throughout the night. I am amazed that my love for my family has the ability to grow each day, just when I feel like I can't love them any more than i already do.....Magic!

Two Too Much Help

The day we brought Hagen home from the hospital was so much fun. The kids were so excited because they hadn't got to see him yet. (Except one super duper nice nurse did sneak Kallie into the NICU for about 3 seconds to peek at him one day) My mom came over to help us out for the first 24 hours. She is so great that way. Anyway Hagen was in dire need of a bath and so Grammy and the kids did the honors. Hagen screamed the whole time, there were just way too many hands on him. We spent the afternoon cuddling our baby and then Kallie ended the evening by throwing up twice. Lovely!! My mom spent the night and just stayed upstairs with the big kids. The next morning Kallie was totally fine thankfully. The kids love to hold the baby and Kallie is great with him, Cole is a little rough but I would expect nothing else from him. Hagen is such a good baby so far, he only cries when he is naked, and just whines when he is hungry. We are so grateful to have a happy healthy family! This is Cole showing us how he is going to hold the baby so so softly! Yeah Right! Then after we bathed him Cole said, "I think I will wait till his scab falls off to hold him again." (talking about his umbilical cord)
