My niece Mataia was in Jr. Miss a few months ago. I realize they don't call it that anymore but that is what it is to me:) Anyway in an attempt to keep my sanity I left Weston home with the boys for the occasion and took just Kallie. She was a great date and shared her treats with me and looked adorable to boot. (I'm not huge fan of the "Justice" obbsession among girls her age and the constant need to look like we are back in the 80's, but she looked cute nonetheless!) However my attempt at being stylish and sporting the butt part puts me in the 60's so I guess that's not much better!
We hit up Taco Time before the show and and enjoyed some awesome burritos. I wish I would've taken some pictures of Kallie and her cousins as they watched the performance. Their eyes dazzeled and they talked all about which girl's dress was the prettiest and who had the best hair. It was ALL girl talk for sure!
The next day was a Sunday and Kallie had to surprise me and prove how grown up she is once again. She asked if she could make cookies, I told her yes and that I would help her in a little bit. She had no patience for waiting and found a recipe herself and whipped up the dough. Her very first batch of cookies ever and they were great! I love this kid... A LOT!
