Sand Dunes

On Monday night we decided last minute to go to the dunes for FHE. We had Weston's sister's two boys and we took our friends, Brooke and Daniel with us. It was a short trip, but we had a blast!! The kids had so much fun trying to squish the sand beetles. It was hilarious to see Kallie trying to keep up with the boys up and down the dunes. Kace is only a month older than her but he is twice her size. We just roasted some hot dogs and messed around and of course Wes and Dan had to race their four-wheelers to see whose is faster. (boys!!) Then we had our traditional mallow roasting contest which I always loose, I have no patience for such nonsense!!

The best part of the whole trip was this: I didn't have jackets for Hali's boys, so I had to improvise, I found an okay sweater for Chad (6 years old) but had nothing masculine at all for Kace (3 yrs). I got out one of Kallie's denim jackets, the only problem was it had pink snaps and pink stitching, I told Kace that it was a cowboy jacket and asked him if he was tough enough to wear pink!! I told him all of the cowboys wear jackets like this one. He was so excited and wore it no problem. He looked hilarious!!

I have refused the idea of being a blogger for about a year now, but after being told what a loser I am multiple times I finally decided to give it a try. I don't know what the heck I am doing I am the biggest computer reject ever. Not to mention that the other day I decided to be a way awesome mom and let Kallie play computer games and as a result I no longer have a backspace key. As I am sitting here typing this, I am already realizing what a bad idea it is. I have recently given up my obsession of reading to be a better mom, too bad I have already yelled at them twice to quit bugging me while I am doing this.

I actually have a pretty awesome life, the kids and I spend our days playing outside in the ditch and the sprinkler with whoever we can convince that would be a fun thing to do for the day. As far as fun things we have done this summer, we don't have much to brag about. If we took a vacation that would mean Wes was lazy. (so he thinks) We did go to Vail, Oregon with some friends in May to help brand 1,000 head of cattle, that was totally Wes's idea of vacation, though the kids and I didn't quite agree. Wes felt bad for that so he signed himself up to do an audit for work in Bear Lake and that will be our vacation. No complaints here, I think I love his job more than he does.

Well I don't really know what to post so for anyone who sees this, that we haven't been in touch with for awhile, here are some facts about us!!!!

1. We have two kids, Kallie Jo 3yrs. Cole 11 months
2. We call Egin, Idaho our home
3. Weston is an accountant for Rudd & Company in Rexburg
4. I stay at home with the rugrats
5. Weston can't break himself free of the farm, this year he has corn and barley
6. We enjoy riding horses, four wheeling, and checking pivots as a family
7. Me and the kids like bike rides
8. Wes and I did the Dam Marathon Relay, (that was interesting)
9. I have recently read the "Fablehaven" series and loved it!!
