School Stuff.

My kids have some of the worlds greatest school teachers.  Seriously these ladies go above and beyond to make sure these kids have a great experience and education.  I owe them so much.  Kallie is in fourth grade and studying Idaho History.  She and Preston spent the evening working together on their pioneer project.  They made homemade candles from fresh bees wax, courtesy of my uncle Trent!  They had so much fun and these two work together really well.  They are great friends and I'm  sure it will last a lifetime with these two.

That same week they had "Pioneer Day" at school.  They played pioneer games, made their own loaves of bread and even churned butter.  With 28 kids in the class, this was quite a feat for Mrs. Owens.  She is the greatest.

I went to help Cole's class and got to spend a few minutes at recess with this hilarious group.  It was so fun to watch them play in an element where they are all comfortable.  I've said it over and over but Kallie really has the greatest group of friends possible.  There is RARELY any sort of drama, they all play together and I would be thrilled to have any one of these girls over to play.

Cole's teacher, Mrs. Brown also goes out of her way to make learning fun and exciting.  These kids have "Friday Fun Day" and work hard all week to earn it.  This particular day they flew kites.  Imagine 23 2nd graders trying to fly kites all at the same time.  Chaos is an understatement.  There was a huge mess of tangled kites and upset kids but Mrs. Brown was calm and the afternoon ended with a bunch of smiling kids.  Cole had some pretty good success himself.
